Perfect spot to host a milestone birthday party during Jazz Fest. The online photos are beautiful but do not do the property justice - the landscaping is gorgeous and space even more plentiful and accommodating in person. Our group filled the house, yet it did not feel 'full' - the home's proportions are such that there was room enough for everyone. Most everyone spent their leisure time enjoying the beautiful pool and patio. The sleeping rooms were surprisingly private and well equipped with fans to keep the humidity and sound out. We loved the charming and quintessential Bywater establishments an easy walk or bike ride away. Kevin's recommendation of a house hostess, Sarah, to assist our group during two days of event hosting at the house proved a highlight of our stay. Sarah, a local hotel concierge, was an indispensable asset, drawing up personalized itineraries for each guest and grabbing last minute items we had run out of. She even mixed up house cocktails based on the evening's meal! I don't know what we would have done without her and it was thoughtful foresight on Kevin's part to suggest her services to us.

I cannot say enough wonderful words about our experience at The Mazant!!!! We just finished our stay of 10 nights that included my wedding, and it exceeded any and all expectations. From check-in, to answering all questions we had about the property promptly, to coordinating with our rental vendors to ensure all tents and additional elements were set up properly, to additional walkthroughs - these guys go above and beyond. Special shoutout to Kevin, who is not only a fabulous and kind person, but was so helpful throughout our stay. THANK YOU!!! Can't wait for an opportunity to come back someday

We booked this property in May for our family's celebration of our son's graduation from college. We could not have found a more perfect property. It fit our needs to to a tee. We were able to enjoy family and friends in the most beautiful setting we could have imagined. The house is stunning, perfectly outfitted for entertaining and the ambience was amazing. Kevin, our host was gracious, always available and responsive to any need. We could not have been happier. We highly recommend this property for a perfect NOLA experience.

The Mazant is a beautiful house and venue in Bywater. A group of 12 friends stayed here for a weekend trip to New Orleans. We had plenty of space to spread out and enjoyed the beautifully decorated surroundings, including a well maintained (and well heated) pool / hot tub. The kitchen facilities are large and well stocked -- we had a chef come to the house to prepare a fantastic dinner. The team running the Mazant are also friendly and quick to follow up with any questions we had. The neighborhood also was very walkable to some restaurants/coffee shops/bars and a quick car ride to other parts of the city (e.g. French Quarter). While it's not the cheapest option around, but we came away feeling it was worth the money for a beautiful and well appointed stay. Would love to return!

We had a fantastic experience at The Mazant! The home was absolutely lovely—beautifully designed, spacious, and full of charm. We hosted an event during our stay that was very well attended, and we received so many compliments about both the space and the overall atmosphere. It was the perfect setting for our gathering. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a unique and welcoming space in New Orleans!

We came into town for a wedding, and our stay at this historic property was absolutely exceptional. The grounds are stunning—beautifully landscaped with tall trees, high bushes for privacy, and thoughtfully designed outdoor spaces. There is a gorgeous pool with a relaxing lounge area, a charming side courtyard with a fire pit, and classic rocking chairs on the front porch to enjoy the evenings. The entire property is well lit at night and has a peaceful, timeless feel. The historic main home is incredibly well maintained. Every detail feels intentionally curated for guests. Inside, there is a beautiful living room and an elegant dining room that seats up to 18, complete with two fireplaces. The large, fully equipped kitchen makes entertaining easy, and multiple doors open directly to the grounds. There is also a separate guesthouse suite, along with 10 bedrooms and several bathrooms throughout the property—comfortable, spacious, and reflective of New Orleans’ rich culture. We hosted an outdoor event here with private catering, and everyone who attended was extremely happy. The artificial turf provides a large open area perfect for gatherings, and there are cement benches, pavers, and various seating spots throughout the property for guests to enjoy. Although we did not use the heated pool, it was a wonderful feature to have available. There are two downsides worth noting. Parking is very limited, so for private events, it’s best for guests to use rideshare or alternative transportation. Additionally, because the property is located in a neighborhood that is a bit worn and somewhat dilapidated, you may occasionally hear passing cars or loud music. These moments were brief, but worth mentioning for awareness. Overall, our experience was truly memorable. The atmosphere, comfort, and beauty of the property far exceeded our expectations, and we would absolutely recommend it to anyone considering hosting an event or staying here.
